Which BlindShell Is Right for You? Classic Lite vs. Classic 2

We have already explained what makes BlindShell different from traditional smartphones and phones for seniors. But do you know what each BlindShell phone actually has to offer?

BlindShell is much more than a phone with a tactile keypad and an SOS button. Depending on the model, it can be anything from a straightforward phone for calling and texting to an advanced everyday companion with accessible apps, AI assistance, voice control, and remote support.

The BlindShell family currently includes three models: BlindShell Classic 3, and BlindShell Classic 2.

So, which one is right for you?

BlindShell Classic 3

BlindShell Classic 3 is the newest BlindShell model. It builds on what users already know from the previously launched phones and adds new features inspired by the needs and feedback of BlindShell users.

Ever wondered whether the two socks in your hands are actually the same color? What pattern is on your holiday shirt? Or which banknote you are holding?

With Observo, you can use AI to describe your surroundings, read and translate text, recognize colors and banknotes, and identify objects. Instead of using several different tools, you can find these features together in one feature integrated into the phone.

Then there is Tandem.

Tandem helps you stay connected with someone you trust who can assist you with your phone remotely, even if they are hundreds of miles away. Need help changing the color scheme, adjusting the font size, or downloading an app? Your trusted person can help from their own smartphone. They do not need a BlindShell, as Tandem is also available for Android and iPhone.

And sometimes, you do not even need another person to help.

With the Luna voice assistant, many everyday tasks can be handled simply by using your voice. Looking for a summer lemonade recipe? Ask Luna to search the web. Want to save a new contact? Luna can help with that too. It can also tell you the time, create a calendar event, set an alarm, send an SMS, and much more.

It is almost like having a personal assistant right in your pocket.

Classic 3 is for users who want the simplicity BlindShell is known for without giving up advanced technology.

BlindShell Classic 2

Perhaps you want to use WhatsApp or YouTube, take photos and share them with friends and family, listen to your favorite podcast, or read an audiobook. However, you do not need all the AI features.

BlindShell Classic 2 combines tactile buttons and a fully spoken interface with a much wider selection of accessible applications and everyday tools.

You can communicate with your loved ones through WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, watch YouTube, play games, listen to podcasts and audiobooks, browse the web, or use practical tools such as object tagging and a magnifier. Additional supported apps can also be downloaded through the BlindShell App Catalog.

All of this remains within the familiar BlindShell environment, designed to be easy to navigate using physical buttons and spoken feedback.

Classic 2 is a great choice for users who want much more than calling and texting but do not necessarily need the latest AI and remote assistance features.

Which BlindShell should you choose?

The answer depends on what you expect from your phone.

BlindShell Classic 2 offers various apps such as WhatsApp, YouTube, or FB Messenger, entertainment, and everyday possibilities.

BlindShell Classic 3 combines the familiar simplicity of BlindShell Classic 2 with its most advanced features, including AI assistance, remote support, and much more.

Sometimes the simplest phone is exactly the right choice. Sometimes you want a little more. And sometimes you want everything BlindShell has to offer.

The good news? The choice is yours. Which one is it going to be?
