How to start Luna on your BlindShell Classic 3
Using Luna is simple:
Just long-press the side action button on your BlindShell Classic 3. After a beep tone, start dictating your command or question.
The first time you use Luna, she’ll ask if she can access AI features. Don’t worry — you’re in control. You can decline and enable AI features later anytime from the Settings menu.
So What Happens When You Enable AI Features?
Luna becomes incredibly smart. You can use full sentences, not only keywords - Luna can understand the context, allowing you to speak naturally.
An internet connection is required to use AI features.
General Knowledge & Trivia
Ask factual questions and get quick answers.
- “What is the capital city of Germany?”
- “What is the longest river in the world?”
Web Search and Browsing
Ask Luna to search for information or open websites.

“Search the web for a refreshing summer lemonade.”
- “Open google.com.”
Apps & App Launching
You can say full sentences, ask questions, and Luna will still find and launch the right app. You can also ask what apps are available on your BlindShell Classic 3.
- “What applications do I have installed?”
- “Could you open Internet radio, please?”
- “Start Video Camera app.”
Status Information
Ask about your phone’s battery, connectivity, signal strength, and notifications.
- “Am I connected to Wi-Fi?”
- “What is my battery percentage?”
- “Read me notifications.”
- “Is Bluetooth enabled?”
- “How much mobile data have I used?”
Contacts
Search your contact list by name or ask how many contacts you have. Luna can add and save a new contact.
- “How many contacts do I have?”

- “Save contact Anna Novak, phone 987654321.”
Call Contacts or Numbers
You don’t have to stick to keywords — Luna will understand your intent.

Send a Message
With AI, you can send an SMS by saying the full message in one go.
- “Send Peter a message: ‘Hi. How are you?’”

Luna can help with more than just reminders — like organizing your thoughts, to-dos, or shopping plans:
- “Create a list of things I need to do before vacation.”

Calendar - Adding Events
Luna can help you organize your schedule by adding events to your calendar.
- “Add an event for tomorrow at 12 PM titled 'Lunch' at 'My Favorite Restaurant.'”
- “Add an event for this Tuesday titled 'Exercising' from 5 PM to 6 PM.”
Agenda & Planning
Luna can also check your agenda and tell you what you had planned.
- “Do I have anything planned today?”

Set Timers and Alarms
With AI, Luna can directly set and start timers or alarms without opening any app.
- “Set a timer for 10 minutes.”
- “Set an alarm for tomorrow at 7:30 AM.”
Date and Time
Luna can tell you the current time, date, day of the week, and your time zone.
- “What time is it?”
- “What is today’s date?”
- “What day of the week is it?”
Calculator
Luna can solve math problems, from basic to advanced calculations. With the AI feature you can give her a specific mathematical equation.
- “What is 5 times 8 plus 2?”
- “Calculate the fourth root of 25.”
Weather Forecasts
Get current conditions, forecasts, and sunrise/sunset times.
- “Will it rain today?”
- “What is the temperature right now?”
- “What time will the sun set tomorrow?”
What can Luna do without AI features?
If AI features are turned off, Luna still provides helpful offline support — but only in supported languages.
Offline speech recognition is available for: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian.
For other languages, an internet connection is still needed, even with AI turned off.
In offline mode, Luna responds to simple, keyword-based commands.

Luna can open any installed app when you say its name.
